Community Service
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.
1 Peter 4:10
Jesus teaches us to help and serve others. Community Service is a wonderful way for students to learn that important message. Please make sure your student participates in the Community Service that their grade is responsible for. Parents and family members are also encouraged to get involved and join us in these worthwhile events. Service to others should not be a one time event, and it really IS better to give than to receive!

Community Service Projects by Grade
Community Service Projects - Parish-wide
Douglas Food Pantry - An ecumenical resource for the entire town, the Food Pantry supplies food and other items to families in need.
Mother's Love - During the month of May, to celebrate Mary and motherhood, the parish collects clothing and items for needy and unwed mothers in the Diocese.
Christmas Giving Tree - During Advent take a tag from our Giving Tree and purchase a gift for a needy child or member of the clergy.
Family Fun Day & Yard Sale- Our annual spring fundraiser!
Spiritual Adoption Program - Srtarting in August and ending in May, parishioners are encouraged to sign up and "spiritually adopt" a child that was conceived during this month. Sadly, not all babies conceived make it to birth because of miscarriages, premature births and tragically, abortions. Say the short prayer provided (it only takes seconds to say) and state your prayer intentions (name your baby to remind you that this is a specific child that you will never meet). Pray for your "adopted baby." Pray for those who have experienced the loss of a child. Pray for the parents who have already lost a child to abortion. After 9 months of prayer, in May we will celebrate the "births" of these "spiritually adopted" babies.
